What a dreich day!
Right! Who do I tell that I've had enough rain now?
Seriously, it's a bit difficult to get enthusiastic about anything when it's like this. The rain drips down the guttering at the side of the building and it's amazing how many people start tapping their pens or drumming on the desk to the rhythm.
I'm ashamed to say I didn't even bother going out at lunchtime as it had turned even greyer and darker outside of my window so I decided to get a sandwich from Debbie with the food trolley when she came round just after midday.
'You aren't having another egg?' she exclaimed. 'You already had one for breakfast!'
Sadly I had eaten a fried egg toastie for my second breakfast earlier and was tempted by the egg and sausage sandwich for lunch. Oh well....
The egg jokes were coming thick and fast for the next half an hour when I was back at my desk but it didn't mar the taste of my sandwich.
I decided to be really adventurous and venture up to the fifth floor landing to see what the view was like up there. As you can see, nothing looked particularly good no matter where you were but at least I zoomed in and caught a train coming out of Solihull Station heading towards Brum.
When I got back home I peered hopefully out into the gloomy garden but even the birds were not very enthusiastic and there were none to be seen today.
Sorry. I'll try for something cheerier tomorrow.
Track? I heard this while I was in the shower first thing so some Thin Lizzy will do nicely - The Boys Are Back In Town
