Historic welcome

The church has been a reassuring presence in the centre of our village for more than one thousand years. What a lot of changes it has seen.
I was pleased to get out and about today. Even though it is still a dark day, it isn't actually raining. Everybody I met had a moan about the rain and now it is official - in this part of the country, the south-east, it has already been the wettest January since records began.

Resolution . . . . . .I must stop moaning about the weather!
