Rhododendron petticoat

After a rain shower, a wind gust lifted the leaves of the Rhododendron bureavii on the path to the studio and exposed the furry undersides. This plant has never been a strong bloomer, but we don’t mind the lack of flowers. The leaves certainly make up for its shyness, covered in fox-colored indumentum and soft to the touch.
