Calgary

24 hours exactly from leaving home, we touched down in Calgary. Interestingly, it all went pretty well.

* Left home at 2.30 on the shuttle
* Hung out at the Koru lounge,
* Departed CHC at 4.30, arrived Auckland at 6.
* Walked to the terminal, met (aunty) Robyn in the Koru lounge, boarded NZ 6 to LA and left at 7.15pm
* Arrived LA a little over 12 hours later
* Hung out in Air Canada Lounge for 3 hours, boarded AC573 at 2.15
* Arrived in Calgary at 5.45pm local time (3.5 hrs flight time)

We then picked up the car, which after booking online proved to be the decent deal. Hyundai Santé Fe for $500 for 9 days, with full insurance. Nice!

And then in minus 10 degrees, snow, and darkness we left for the hotel around 6.45pm.

As you do, you occasionally book something close to the airport, in this case the Radisson Airport. Brand new, very flash, and a pretty good price. The restaurant was OK but not great and a little overpriced, but when you’re tired, anything will do.

And then, goodnight!
