Painting
The harsh sun, torrential rains, and corrosive air of Zihuatanejo take a toll on buildings and structures. Good tenants and owners are constantly working on their properties, keeping walls clean and freshly painted. This morning I noticed this worker redoing the upper level of this two story hotel. It seemed his ladder was a bit undersized for the task at hand, but true to the spirit of this city he had fashioned a workaround that enabled him to complete his task anyway. I see this quite often, an obstacle that would require purchasing something new in the United States is overcome by ingenuity and determination. I suspect this is not the first time he has painted this second floor this way, he looked very comfortable on that ladder.
