The cupboard was bare

I haven't got myself quite organised on a Friday yet now I am working and there was no food for dinner in the house that quite worked for that Friday feeling. Daisy thought I was joking when I offered her pancakes for tea, but syrup aside they are pretty finely balanced as a meal if you ask me (they can have a banana later)

Hurrah for a Friday. Boo for the incessant rain. Will's homework is to sort out a costume for a Roakd Dhal day at school. Why can't they just enjoy the books? Why do they have to sodding well dress up as well??
