A view to die for
A few years ago we had a walking holiday like this one on Tenerife. One of the hikes took us to the rim of the caldera of El Teide, the highest mountain in Spain. Today we could see El Teide, apparently floating on a sea of cloud that gradually diminished so that we could see the real sea that separates the islands.
Here we are at Roque Nublo, almost at the level of the highest point on Gran Canaria and right in the centre of the island, on a perfect day of sun and cool air.
A fitting climax to a great week.
