Stained Glass Detail, St Margaret, Warnham

Every time I seem to visit Warnham it rains. Another awful wet afternoon, I managed to dive inside and take some pictures after work. I looked this particular window up and it turns out that it was made by an artist known as F G Christmas - one I have never heard of! I did guess the date as being in the early 1930's - 1931 to be precise. The children in the picture are part of a three light window that shows Jesus in the Carpenter's Workshop. Stained glass in the 1930's often has very bright colours and the faces can be very distinctive. This window was put up in memory of another member of the Lucas family who have been closely connected with Warnham for well over 100 years.
