Between the Cover and the Pages

In 1933 aged 18, the subject of this biography walked from Holland across Europe and onto Turkey and Greece, recording his travels in 'Time of Gifts' and 'Between the Woods and the Water' Beautifully written, they are a memoir of a Europe that was soon to disappear. I'd love to retrace his steps, especially his treks through Transylvania - maybe someday I will!
