Afternoon tea on the farm

They started cutting our hay last night, and guess what happened. It rained overnight! Not in the forecast, and certainly not what you want happening.

So, the decision had to be made this morning as to whether to continue cutting. The dilemma we have is that it is meant to rain mid week, so hoping that the forecast doesn't change, we've taken the gamble and decided to cut the whole lot.

After our lunchtime milking, the sun came out, so we were pleased with our decision to cut. Farmerboy has been turning it with the rake most of the afternoon. I took him afternoon tea - after all it's thirsty work making hay!

It has turned out hot, although not as hot as previous summers. It's still hot enough to turn on the air conditioner inside though. Just makes the heat so much more bearable.
