Travelling by train...

Busy morning today, then off on my travels once again - this time off to York, via Edinburgh. My carriage for the Edinburgh - York leg of the journey was very noisy and busy so upgraded to First which was much nicer. Got quite a bit of work done and also enjoyed just watching the countryside go by ...

I was staying at the Royal York Hotel, which is adjacent to the station so nice and easy to get to. Checked in and found I had a lovely room with windows on two walls one overlooking York Minster. Attended meeting at 5pm, then I decided to skip the meal out, and got room service so that I could finish preparing for tomorrow. Not very sociable perhaps, but it saved having to get up at the crack of dawn...
