Sunset on the Ouse...

Challenging day today, but survived with dignity intact and had time for a quick walk before catching the train to London. The weather was nice late afternoon but very cold. I was lucky enough to catch the sunset over the River Ouse, which looked very pretty in the twilight.
Then time to catch the 17.03 to Kings Cross. Had a very pleasant journey then got a taxi to my hotel in Little Venice. My case was so heavy with work related things then I wasn't prepared to tackle the Tube, which would be usual mode of transport in London.
Arrived in Little Venice and got checked in, then went for a walk to explore as I had not been in this area before. It's a lovely residential area, with large elegant old townhouses. Walked along by the canal and enjoyed seeing the brightly lit little houseboats moored by the banks and the lights of the buildings behind reflecting on the water. Found a nice little bar playing live music (70's classics, such as "Stuck in the midle with you" etc) and wondered about eating there tomorrow when YS and E will have joined me but sadly they only have live music on Thursdays so not to be...
Headed back to my very elegant and comfortable hotel room for an early-ish night...
