Clipeshears!

Clipeshears is the name we used for earwigs when I was a small child in East Lothian. Earwigs have been the subject of a few blipfotos for me - I love their articulated beauty. This one dropped off my neighbour's garage wall as my torchlight passed across it. Then it lay absolutely still, hoping, I guess, to be well camouflaged among similarly sized and coloured vegetation debris. It is a little beauty, less than 1cm long.
