new sign

On my walk to the Newsagent I noticed this wonderful new Inn sign at the Commercial Inn on Manor Park Road in Glossop.

As the daylight fades we seem to have NO snow but it's cold and wet. I'm sure the first TV weather forecast I saw this morning had snow and sleet over us for a few hours from midday. Anyway I ignored the forecast and had a run around in the car to do a bit of bird spotting ....

3 Buzzards - a handful of Starlings, a few trees full of Jackdaws , a lone Crow and then a sky full of thrushes - I'd guess 200+ of mixed species. On stopping the car they were hard to find then around 80 appeared and they were all Redwing so probably 120 Fieldfare. a nice treat!
