Retro Colour for Marmalade Day

The sun did shine this morning! And in the garden the birds were singing, particularly a chaffinch, and a woodpecker came to the bird table. But my pictures of the birds were too blurred to use on Blipfoto, so this is a small heather plant which is providing a welcome splash of colour!

Today was Marmalade Making day, so 11lbs of the stuff is now cooling in the jars, and all the sticky, sticky washing up done!
This year I added a little whisky, and reduced the amount of sugar very slightly - yes, the taste is fantastic!
