Leeds/Liverpool canal at Shipley, W. Yorks. UK.

This photo is taken on the Leeds/Liverpool canal at Shipley looking west. The chimney and building on the right is Salts mill in the model village of Saltaire which is a World Heritage site. The building on the left is derelict. The stripy chimney building is now a gym and the other occupied by a business, but I think no longer a factory.

Often in very small geographical areas around Bradford, decline and prosperity appear side by side - but gradually, Bradford's infrastructure is developing.
