High tide plus yesterday's heavy rainfall

Exceptionally high tides are impeding the passage of flood water into Poole Harbour.

This little green opposite Wareham Quay has been appropriated temporarily by the river Frome. Saturday market is in full swing, even though the river water has encroached several yards onto the quay.

Behind the trees to the right of the photo can be seen the water meadows, which have been continuously waterlogged for several weeks.
