Best Part of the Day

I grabbed a bit of time for myself first thing this morning. It should have been an exciting day, with a Blipmeet at Chesterton Mill, but a combination of personal circumstances and a threat of rain and high winds scuppered the opportunity. In the end it was a great sunset there, check out Draco's blip for proof.

So for me it was a quick trip onto Cannock Chase before the visits and calls started. It was quite restorative to see a sunrise for the first time this week. This view is across Sherbrook Valley. For a free draining location such as the chase the standing water on what is a high point is testament to the amount of rain in the last few weeks.
