White Cloth Gallery

Blip meet in Leeds with Sam, Paul and Dr Mackem. The plan was to go to a local charcuterie, "Friends of Ham ", and all day I had been planning a Henry 8th night of relentless meat eating and wine but texts from Paul told us it was too busy to even get a seat. Rather than stand outside in the rain queueing and peering in the windows of Friends of Ham like some starved Dickensian children , Sam took us round the corner to White Cloth Gallery.

Stepping inside and I felt I was back in the Manchester converted warehouse scene from the 90s but without the doc boots and the six pints of cider habit and the sticky dance floors . Very relaxing, very down to earth, huge irregular sofas and plain white wash walls with posters of films gone by.

Lovely evening with good food and the staple chats of running and photography. So middle ages are we ,that we left at ten to catch our trains, with Dr Mackem's farewell words " Marvellous I can be in bed by eleven ".

That's how you do Rock n Roll kids

xx
