From Little Things Big Things Grow
After all the noise and excitement of the Chinese procession in the city yesterday my son and I headed off down to Hyde Park for a bit of peace and quiet by the lake. It was an unusually mild day and really cool in the shade.
We passed under the big old oak tree and noticed there were some green acorns with their little caps still intact scattered around on the lawn.
I love to collect things like that, and between the two of us we found about fifteen perfect ones.
I thought they might make a good blip subject and today I was playing around with them and found that the pattern on the cap of this one looked quite beautiful through the macro lens!
