They're quick and like to sting!

Colby's travel basketball team has had a stellar season. Losing only to two teams, and not by much, these boys work together to get the job done. It's a young team, third and fourth graders, but all possess a passion and skill for the game.

Todays game against Gardiner was tight right up to the last seconds. Each team pulled ahead by a few, then the other would rally back and take the lead. The game was a nail bitter! Levi shot for the three with 45 seconds on the clock. The Hornets trailed by two. Vern was fouled and had the opportunity to tie it up, pressure on the line proved too much and play continued. Colby had an amazing grab forcing a jump ball, and we regained possession. In the end, despite all attempts, the final score was 21 to 19, Gardiner wins.

No need to be upset about this game... it was a well-fought battle, and both teams should be pleased with the way they played. The crowd, both sides, were excited, spirited and often ... loud. What a great game!
