St Michael's Day, Ethiopia

It was a long drive this afternoon. We left the wonderful village of Mequat Mariam and were heading for Gondar.

We travelled through little towns and villages and kept being stopped by big parades of people who were celebrating what seemed like Timkat again. This did wonders for my Post Timkat Depression! Hurray! However, although similar, it is actually St Michael's day today.
