He has arrived

Herbie William Wipple Winter arrived at 12.20am, weighing 5lb 6oz, on Monday 28th January.
He was 3 weeks earlier than expected and in quite a hurry to get out into the world. We planned to have a home birth, but due to the fact that my waters had broken two days earlier and I was only 2cm dilated, the mid-wife recommended that we head to hospital to get checked out.

In my mind we were soon going to be coming home, yet Herbie had other plans as he arrived 40 minutes after we arrived in hospital. All there was time for was one suck on the gas which I did not like and a bit of pushing.

And there he was, our beautiful little man. x What an amazing experience, so very, very happy. Words cannot describe.
