If you can't beat them...

Windy Wavy Ullswater

A busy morning. Took the car in for MOT, in town for some shopping and then home for lunch. As it was dry and not too bad a day (typically not as good as when we had been shopping) we decided to pop down to the lake.

Stopping at Glencoyne there was as yet no sign (well very little) of Mr Wordsworth's golden host. They will make a blip later in the year. My first thoughts were scenes across the lake. These were very grey and drab so I started to look for closer shots.

The hazel catkins were out as the wind was making them dance far too much. Two other subjects caught my eye. The water over the rocks along the water line and a little "waterfall" in a small stream. These lead to the very unusual situation of clickychick stopping shooting before I did.

Getting home and viewing the shots I was torn between some relatively good (for me)"silky" water shots and this one. Don't ask me why I preferred this one as I don't know but it appealed to me.
