Yes, it's that complicated!
For my project (though not quite sure of the reasoning yet but have to present something tomorrow), I've been photographing old photos of me. I'm probably 8 in this one.
I've taken a shed load from different angles, in different light and messed about a bit with them.
The original was a school photo, posed of course and not really any reflection of how life was. The camera therefore lied all the time! My vague idea is to process the images to see if I can create something that fits the memory of how I saw life at the age I was in the photo, or at least how I recall seeing it, or maybe what I'd like others to have seen of me. You get the idea.
I reckon there's something arty enough in that to be acceptable to the examiner and actually, I've found it quite absorbing and some of the results interesting. I've only been using Picasa so far but might venture on to The Gimp before we're let loose in Photoshop.
