Shine a light

How's this for madness...

The same Digital Photography session runs 3 times a week to cater for the numbers. So, that's 7.5hrs session time for approximately 30 people.

The art faculty bought two DSLRs for student use. We can, however, only use them in the sessions. The rest of the time, they're locked in a cupboard.

The computers in the teaching room are loaded with cs4 but again, can only be used during the sessions. There aren't any other computers in the university with cs4 on them.

The assignment has to be submitted in the last session, which is also used to finish the assignment. During the summer however, they removed the printers from our building because they closed the library, so as we can't print and therefore have to take everything ready for submission. This means that the last 2.5hours teaching has, in effect, been scrubbed.

For this privilege, students pay between £125 and £602 for the module depending where they come from and when they started.

It was a relief to come home and find some silliness on my ceiling!
