The bronze....that's what we ended up with tonight.....third place in the Quiz League.

We only had a team of four available....we needed 5....because we had to provide the question master...we pulled an ex-player out of retirement.........

We needed a draw to secure the runner's up spot in the League!

In the end it came down to two questions in the last round, they got the easy ones right....we got the hard ones wrong.

Theirs "Which Australian Island was known as Van Diemens Land until 1856"? .....Tasmania......Ours Which Australian State was the last to receive convicts in 1862.....Western Australia........balanced questions.... I don't think so....I mean how many Aussie islands do you know?

Theirs "Which NHL team takes it's name for the Dutch word for brown bear?".....Boston Bruins.......Ours "Which NFL team takes its name from the favourite song of its first owner?..........St. Loius Blues....again balanced?....I mean how many names for brown bear do you know?

So now we just have the Cup to play for....no match next week....we have a bye to the quarter finals.
