Digging out again!
Another day, another storm has come. This time Mother Nature has dumped almost a foot of snow on us. In addition, this is the type of snow that weighs down all the shrubs and tree branches. I was out helping with the digging out of the cars and tried to knock as much snow off the branches as I could. One of my holly trees is looking like the leaning Tower of Pisa but it is just too big to clean. I hope that it will be okay.
I took a photo of a few of the evergreen trees in the back yard next to the shed to show you laden with snow they are. I enhanced the color of the shed to give it some extra interest. The snow continued all day and into the evening. My grandson spent time with the neighborhood boys building a fort while we were out shoveling and snow blowing. I was in envy of how much fun they were all having as the adults huffed and puffed to get things cleaned up.
I have this throw pillow on my couch that says ‘Let It Snow’ and a flag outside the house that has the same saying on it. I wonder if I hide them both in a box in the attic if the snow will stop. I used to wish for snow because it had been mild the past few winters and we did not see much of it. I do believe I’m officially sick of it now. Since it’s only the beginning of February I am sure I’ll be seeing more of the white stuff but I do look forward to seeing the green grass come springtime.
