Soaked to the skin and freezing cold ..

.. my favourite kind of day!

We went to Sewerby House with my bird group today. I vaguely know the name and doubtless went there in my youth but had no memory of it.

The highlight of the gardens was a little goldcrest - but for me the most fun was had down on the beach.

I had great fun watching the crows stealing mussels from the oyster catchers and the little turnstones taking a bath.

But as my bird leader was so excited about this rock pipit, he better be my blip.
