Sand Verbena
Clustered blooms arrive
when adequate winter rains
have soaked the desert

There's that beetle again! It must be a good year for the red-eared blister beetle. One must be careful not to get too close as it is harmful to humans.
The sand verbena is beginning to show in our area. There has been sufficient rain over winter to bring on the blooms. They make a lovely appearance in many sandy locations.
Just a quiet day for us. Got the truck's oil changed. Did some shopping and had pizza for lunch. Came home to put up my sore feet. Had a coffee with our company visiting from British Columbia. (They are camping in our driveway and are busy with many activities in the area.)
