View from my window

The Victorian House

It's impossible to see out of the window today as the storm lashes my building. So I have resorted to photographing something on the window sill. This is a thin card house I made a while back. Back in the early 1980s when my girls were quite young we made one of these. It came in a book and you cut out all the pieces and made it in sections. It took us several months. It got thrown away at some point in our travels and for some odd reason a few years ago I had the fancy to make another one. I found the book secondhand and his nibs and I enjoyed making it one holiday. Now the grandchildren enjoy looking at it. It comes with a story about the family who live in the house. I also have a Noah's Ark we've done and a working model of the Royal Opera House to do. We also made that one when the girls were little and we performed several plays to the family and friends.

Last night was truly horrid. I was up every couple of hours checking the towels under the window leak, but I was also in a lot of pain. So I feel shattered.

One of my grand-daughters is coming to paint this afternoon, always good fun and I get to play with my 'tigger' littlest grandson too. He's VERY good at bouncing up and down.
