Halloween Evening

Finally, after weeks of expectation, Halloween has arrived and the kids were ready for trick or treating. Alyssa deemed herself a princess and Lewis was a pirate giraffe, all though he left his pirate hat at home. No matter, at least he has his sword. We visited about twenty homes, collected so much Lewis called it quits because his bag got too heavy to carry. We happily headed home to look through the booty of sugar.

Not wanting months of candy in the house I devised a brilliant plan. I asked the kids to put all the candy that may have too much sugar or may be harmful to our teeth into a bowl for the tooth fairy. Very few people know this, but the tooth fairy will gladly leave a monetary reward for bags of candy left for her on Halloween night. They gladly parted with more than half the stash.
