Skeletonised seedhead

Nothing represents the end of a year better than the skeletonised remains of seedheads. In this case - a seedhead of Stinking Hellebore - it immediately brought to mind the bleached bones of a series of miniature rib cages. Hopefully the seeds that were contained are somewhere in the long process it takes to grow a new flowering plant.
