Still Here!

Late latte

I have had a long if fulfilling day. It started at 7 am when the furniture man finally came to take away the cushions on my chair for repair. I then had breakfast with my friends from Hong Kong who then set off on their long journey back home. It was a great time with them and it was good to meet up with them once again.

I then travelled to Suffolk to see my 90 year old mum. I stopped for a latte on the way there. This was a 2 1/2 hour drive. I spent two hours with my mum and then set off again to drive to Cambridge. On the way I stopped once again for a lonely coffee.

In Cambridge I walked in the rain to a university campus to give a lecture to the Cambridge Fabian Society. This was demanding and lasted over two hours. And then once again got in my car to drive the 2 1/4 hours back home. It was 11.45 pm. On my way home I stopped for a final latte.

So despite doing lots with my day I also spent quite a bit of it on my own driving and being sustained by too many cups of coffee. I am just too tired now. This is the story of my day and this is the story of this blip.
