The Crowned Lapwing (Vanellus coronatus)

This is him/her, sitting on the ground, being vérrrrry verbal, just check that big open beak!! Shouting at me in an attempt to chase me away with my damned camera!!

They have babies somewhere here in the 'rough' (they lay their eggs on the ground)and now they are making big noise to distract me! I'm sure the babies are in the block opposite the street from where they are making their noise, but this is their way of protecting their young! Só sweet!

They flew over my head and dived down while making their terrible screeching sounds, but I refused to be chased away!! Hehehe!
