High-key crow
I came across this remarkably bold crow on my lunchtime walk at Ferry Meadows, which was dull, cold and blowy. I decided to process the image as a monochrome to bring out the feather pattern, which is remarkably beautiful, especially on its back and stomach.
In the evening we had friends over for a meal, which was thoroughly enjoyable. Definitely something we should do more often! I enjoyed concocting a menu which would satisfy a vegetarian and someone allergic to chillies - not aspects I usually have to consider. We opted for a largely Italian meal - the stuffed aubergines with mozarella were a particular success. As was the (not at all Italian) marmalade bread-and-butter pudding - very different from the traditional sort!
