Highs and Lows
Sun shone today (cold though !) but I managed to hang out a washing for a change. No 3 was delighted to be able to play on her swing for a while. It's lovely to see her playing outside instead of playing blinking Minecraft on the laptop !
Later in the afternoon, we were at a friend's house and she had a mishap on their swing. She fell off and landed on her back. She cried for ages - and I was undecided about taking her for an X-ray.
But a dose of medicine, some TLC and a packet of Haribos and she seemed better. It's still sore this evening, but she's lying in bed with a hot water bottle on it.
I've been looking for a decent handbag that will carry my camera for ages, but the proper 'lady photographer' ones are quite expensive. I read an article about a lady who 'pimped' her everyday handbag using a neoprene camera cover and inserts from old camera bags. Ordered the soft camera cover and it arrived today ! It's great. It won't replace a sturdy camera bag, but for a day out with the kids, it gives a bit more protection in an ordinary bag and now there's no excuse for leaving it at home.
Also bought a cheap soft box for my flash. I was dying to try it out with a portrait shot. Strangely - all the big girls made themselves scarce as soon as it arrived.
I supposed I'll have to offer modelling fees.
Have a great weekend.
