Camouflaged Crab

It took me a half dozen exposures of this barnacled covered stick before I realized there was a crab on it as well. Probably wouldn't have noticed it at all except it started to move (and my wife pointed it out) and then I had to wait patiently for it to get into a good spot for a photograph (it was behind the stick, under the stick, anywhere but where I wanted him). Finally, he moved into the setting sun and I quickly grabbed a couple of quick shots before he moved onto the sand, where he really blended in, and scurried away. Times like this I really wish I had a proper macro lens, but that will have to wait behind other more pressing items. Easier to spot in large.
