Putting on a show

Often I think about how my own childhood and upbringing differed from that my children are experiencing now. They have more freedom to rebel against us; I had more freedom to roam. They spend far more time engrossed in screens of one sort or another; I spent almost every Sunday bored out of my mind.

One thing that endures across the generations, is getting together with siblings, cousins or friends and putting a show on for your parents, complete with tickets, allocated seating and a stage. Here's L , with our neighbours children in a choreographed dance to "Hey, my name's Joe". Good, clean, wholesome, hilarious, fun.
