Voyage of a Beagle & Lab

Damp and Dull

I'm truly fed up with wet, damp, grey days, can we please, please have a good frost or a descent snow shower. I'm not one to let winter weather get me down but this is Scotland, the land of four seasons in one day, I'm use to a wee bit variety - a nice cold, frosty start to the day followed by the sun splitting the sky and a good hail storm after lunch possibly finished with me lying in bed wondering if we're going to be blown away. It now seems as if we haven't seen blue sky for months and it's just persistently wet and not even very cold, resulting in wet walks and muddy dogs which brings me to what is probably really getting me down - the necessity to wash floors on a daily basis and a perpetual pile of muddy dog towels on the utility room floor waiting to be washed. There is no truth in the rumour that my grey mood is down to coming home empty handed from shoe shopping with Ky.
Despite the damp grey afternoon Coco and I climbed the aqueduct and had a lovely long, if extremely muddy, walk along the canal and then the River Avon - all cobwebs blown away.
