Trying something new today. Or, actually, something old.
Just for a bit of an experiment I borrowed some old lenses that have been lying around gathering dust, and ordered a handful of adapters to fit them to the NEX. Strapped an early 1980s (minted) Nikkor 105mm f/4 prime lens on and took a walk out in the rain this afternoon in the nearby woods. This lonely little clump of snowdrops* caught my eye and, even though it was dark and dull, switched to manual and fired off a load of shots. The lens itself is a mightily solid piece of engineering and a bit wieldy on the NEX, built like a battleship but operating as smooth as if it was new. With focus peaking helping hugely it wasn't difficult getting things sharp, even with the lens fully open (maybe even quicker than auto focus once I got used to what direction I was needing to turn it).
Good fun and impressed with the end results, especially considering the lens is at least 20 years old. Not sure how much of today's kit will be around and still being used in 2044.
*A one off, purely in the name of science; don't expect loads of flowers to start appearing in here.
