Happy Birthday Dad
A few days ago I blipped a photo of my Mum when she was young and today I am blipping a photo of my Dad as he would have been 93 yesterday. I should have blipped it then, but forgot. This photo was taken during World War 2 when my Dad was in the RAF, somewhere in North Africa. He was a Photographer in the RAF and joined up pre-war as a boy entrant. After the war he continued as a Professional Photographer for the rest of his life until Alzheimers took over. He was a good looking chap, although I never remember him with this much hair as I think it started to recede when he was quite young. Sadly I didn't inherit his "eye" for composition and I just muddle through.
As we were in the UK last week I managed to put flowers on his grave for his
Birthday, which is a first, so it was nice to have been able to do that. Happy Birthday Dad and I will always remember our lovely times together. Xx
PS I think the faint red splurges on the photo are from my Mum's lipstick as he sent her this photo whilst he was away and I think that's kinda romantic!
