First thing then it got very very windy and deteriorated until all the roads and fields were once again awash. When I last looked the river Eden was rising rapidly. However we have been extremely lucky up here considering our Southern neighbours. For some of them it will still go on for months and months. If there is anybody up there listening 'give us all a break'.
