Full of Colour

John said he wanted to have a look at the Festival of Flowers today so we took a walk around the city. There was a Chinese Cultural Day today there but I think we wee too late to see most of it.

We also looked at the Cardboard Cathedral as we call it, its a the Transitional Cathedral until we get a new one or the old one is restored. There is still a debate on the what to do with the earthquake damaged Cathedral which you can see on the right of this shot.

I thought John had been into the Cardboard Cathedral before, but he hadn't so he found it interesting. They use to have a Flower carpet in the Cathedral before the earthquakes.
They did have some photos up of the flowers carpets over the years and some history of the Festval of Flowers, which was wonderful to see.
