Saturday night supper

Sliced turkey breast, mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, asparagus and hot rolls.

My mother always made Sunday dinner the main event. It was always about two o'clock on Sunday afternoon and was the big meal of the week. I do not see any reason that it should be that way. So, quite often, I fix a big meal on Saturday evening. Sundays we usually go light and easy. This one was excellent if I do say so myself.
