Almost as good as real . . .

This is a favorite pastel, done by Gregory Pai. The (weird) sun is, of course, the reflected flash. The spattered effect is caused by unclean glass, but I rather like it. Haven't been outside all day, so it reminds me of what is out there, under the rain. Most interesting because the rain seems to be confined to this area and was yesterday too; town is dry.
Spent a good part of the afternoon making a pound cake a la James Beard - sure didn't want to show you the amount of mess made in the kitchen! Chicken soup for dinner to save room for cake with strawberries for dessert.
