Remnants

All our family were together this weekend for the first time in months. Although my daughter and son in law live in Glasgow and my son in London my house feels like a real home when they are here and like they have never left. They bring with them happiness and joy and it is great.

However my son who has been here a week will leave behind his usual legacy of untideness (wish he would leave his camera as well) and given my semi obsession with neatness I will be itching to tidy it up. I used to think that I was almost tidying away the memory of him them being here but now I just think of the great weekend we had and the fact I cannot wait to see them all again soon.

Maybe age does make you more mellow after all
