Our hosts

Today we were so fortunate with the sunny dry weather and drove down to Devon to visit friends for lunch in their lovely traditional Devon longhouse. G and L were also there as a surprise happening for L as it is her 70th birthday! They will then drive on unbeknown to L to North Cornwall for the week-end with their family. Good luck to all of them as regards the weather!

By the time we arrived home again in the early evening the storm was already rolling towards us. Later the gales were so violent I really thought the chimney or roof may fly off into the dark but taking one paracetemol relaxed me enough and soon I was deeply asleep.
