Powering In
Day 3
Another exciting day at the Alternative Olympic Games filled with high drama and bitter disappointment for some.
Powering in to thunderous applause and a standing ovation around the stadium, Stanley from Team Swan crossed the line after a neck and neck race! Unfortunately Buddy Bewick was pulled up with a torn muscle and is now out of the games and will be sent home tomorrow. Disappointing as he was a strong contender for a medal!
Amid growing fears for the fitness of Serena continuing from yesterday's bulletin, it became apparent that things were taking a dramatic turn. Plastered across the front pages of a tabloid newspaper this morning were pictures of her long term partner, playing away with Sally from the beach volleyball team. He had been caught by the security cameras after breaking the strict curfew enforced by the team coach, slyly slinking out under the wire of the athletes compound early yesterday evening. In an interview bundled up against the cold at the gate, Willemina Woodpigeon Head of Security was unsympathetic saying the rules were there for their own safety! Traumatised and lacking focus on her skating, Serena is now threatening to fly home!
More drama in store tomorrow!!!
