Expanse

Another wet walk this morning but luckily we got home before the really heavy rain swept in across the hills. We sat eating lunch listening to the rain and hail pelting against the window. This afternoon it dried up a little and some blue sky even appeared between the grey clouds and rain that were being whisked across the sky by the brisk wind. I took this photograph at five o'clock as the sun was going down behind the hills. The vast expanse of sky momentarily light up by a warm light. What a wonderful sight.
